Using the app

friendtips is free to use. You may use it for your own personal purposes. Please do not copy the lists out of the app and republish them as your own, and please do not try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.

We may change the app, change the lists, or stop offering it. If we ever shut it down, we will say so on this site rather than letting it quietly stop working.

About the recommendations

The places in friendtips are opinions. They come from people we know, and they are true at the time they are written.

Opening hours, prices and whether a place still exists all change, and often change without telling us. Check before you travel a long way. We do our best to keep the lists current, but we cannot promise that any detail is correct on the day you read it, and we are not responsible for a closed door or a disappointing sandwich.

We have no commercial relationship with any of the places listed. Nobody pays to be in friendtips, and nobody can. If that ever changes, it will be stated plainly in the app.

Other services

The app links out to Google Maps for directions, and to bunq for the tip jar. Those are not ours. Once you tap through, that company’s terms apply.

The tip jar

Tips are gifts. They are voluntary, they buy you nothing, and they are not refundable. Thank you, though. They genuinely do go on beer.

Liability

friendtips is provided as it is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, Oops Studio is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits any right you have as a consumer under Dutch or EU law that cannot be limited by agreement.

Law

These terms are governed by Dutch law.
